Dear reader...
Rest Assured isn't your average baby sleep book, and maybe that's because I'm not your average baby sleep 'expert'.
I'm not here to tell you to leave your baby crying, or to set sleeping through the night as your goal. I don't subscribe to flash-in-a-pan cultural ideals; they'll come and go (hopefully) while the biology of baby sleep remains steadfast. Unwavering.
And that's what I stand by, you've likely noticed. A soft-yet-fierce insistence on both the science and the heart of baby sleep. On the absolute power of nurture when it comes to raising healthy humans who sleep in healthy ways.
So thank you for taking the time to read my words, because this battle cry, or calling, is not mine, alone.
It is ours, and we are many.
So nurture on, my friend, nurture on.
Ask Louise...
Why did you write Rest Assured?
I wrote this book because it needed to be written.
So often, we are told that our instincts are wrong and that we must train or teach our babies to sleep via disconnect. I can state with certainty that this is not the biological truth, and I can offer another (a better) way of supporting sleep and development in these early years.
Rest Assured is the answer I can place into the hands of exhausted parents to bring clarity and a path forwards that honours our unwaveringly human, connection-seeking, inner knowing.
Can I work with you directly?
Yes, I offer a limited number of one-to-one support packages each month. You can learn more and book here.
How can I train with you?
The Pediatric Sleep and Development (PSAD) Certification is open for enrolment year-round. You can explore the program here.
Where can I leave a book review?
I'm forever grateful for your reviews of Rest Assured!
The best place to leave your review is the place you bought the book - if that's Amazon, you can click here and scroll to where it says "write a customer review".
And if you found Rest Assured offline (maybe you bought your copy from a lovely local bookstore or were gifted it from a friend), Goodreads is a great place to share your thoughts.
Reviews are so important, because they help other families decide whether or not the book will be a good fit for them, and as an author, they really do mean the world to me. So, thank you!
